Payment

When is my storage payment due?

Storage payment is due in full after we pick up your storage.  We will then send an invoice to the billing email your provided us upon sign up.  Sorry, we do not accept cash however we do accept checks.

How do I estimate how much my storage bill is going to be if I am a student?
To properly calculate you’re storage bill, add up the price for each item you need to store, multiply that price times 3 months if storing for the summer term and that is your total. Free Boxes, Pick Up, Delivery, and Storage for the summer are all included in the price you see for each item.

Other Charges

Other charges include the following:
Insurance – Each listed item is insured for $100.00 automatically.  Additional insurance can be purchased for a rate of $4.00/ $100.00 of value.  Insurance limits apply.  See Insurance
Alternate or early delivery fee -$50.00 each way
Off Campus Pickup or Delivery -$50.00 each way
Missed pick up or delivery - $50.00
Overweight boxes - A surcharge of 50% of the price of your storage for any box weighing over 70 pounds.

Is my deposit refundable?

Yes, your deposit is fully refundable. We will deduct the deposited amount from your final bill after your items are picked up for storage.

How can I be sure to secure a storage space?

We encourage you to sign up online and pay a $25 deposit to reserve your pickup as early as possible. This will secure your storage space with us. We often offer “early bird” discounts as well as discounts for referring your friends.

Are there any additional fees I should be aware of?

The only additional fees are as follows: Early termination of storage, early delivery, delivery outside of our posted dates, missed pick up or delivery, uncleanly refrigerators, bounced checks, and failure to make a reservation.

Preparing for my Pick up

How can I prepare my items for storage to make the pickup fast, organized, and safe?

We kindly ask for you to securely tape all boxes on all six seems, disassemble futons, cover mattresses or box springs with a mattress bag,  tape any doors shut on furniture, drain your refrigerator and clean it prior to pickup. We need your boxes numbered in a group sequence 1of 10, 2 of 10 etc... Finally print out a label from our site and write your name and destination dorm on each piece.
Very Important:  All items going into storage must be labeled properly.   

 

Insurance

Can I insure my storage items against loss or damage?

Yes. Each package comes with an automatic $100.00 of declared value coverage. If you wish, you may purchase addition declared value coverage for a rate of $4.00 per $100.00 of value. Our limit for our school storage program is a maximum of $500.00 per package or a maximum of $1500.00 declared value coverage per student. In order to collect insurance the customer must first follow the packaging guidelines. See packaging guidelines below.

Pick up and Delivery

Will you pick up my items for storage on any floor level?

We sure will, at any floor level.

Can I retrieve items in storage during my storage term?

Special arrangements can be made for us to pull items early, however additional fees for early storage removal and delivery will apply. We kindly ask you to give us one week notice.  This rule only pertains to the Boomerang School summer storage program.

Does Boomerang Storage offer Climate Controlled Storage?

Generally No. In certian circumstances we may be able to provide climate controlled storage. Please Inquire.

How do I get my free box kit?

We typically send the box kit right to your campus mail box the week prior to finals.  Sometimes depending on the arrangements we have made with your school, we can send the box kit right to your dorm room or you can pick the box kit up from us.

When will Boomerang Storage be picking up my storage?

Please refer to the schedule posted for your school on the "Summer Storage" page. We will be calling you to arrange and exact day and time for your pickup.

When will Boomerang Storage be delivering my storage?

We will be posting the delviery dates during mid summer and calling you to determing a date and time for your storage delivery. Certain schools are allowing Boomerang Storage to actually delivery your storage to your new room before you even get back to school! Now that's what we call service!

 

Packaging Guidelines

Below are our packaging guidelines.  Please read carefully
  1.  Boxes must be securely taped on all 6 sides
  2. Items going into storage don’t necessarily have to be in a box but we strongly recommend boxing all items.  If not box, the item must be very well labeled and protected
  3. We recommend putting beds and furniture in mattress bags.   
  4. Refrigerators must be thoroughly defrosted, cleaned and propped open for storage.  Mold can develop if your fridge is not cleaned and propped open. 
  5. All electronics must be have 2-4 inches of approved packing material on all sides of the item.  Then the item must be incased in a cardboard box.  We recommend purchasing bubble wrap. 
  6. All boxes and items going into storage must be very well labeled with your school name, destination dorm, your name, and a number sequence.  Ex.  4 of 10……  If your boxes are not labeled how do we know who's boxes they are?  We strongly recommend printing our labels right off of our site.  You can find the labels at HERE
